Ghana Music Awards UK 2023: Check Out Full List Of Nominees For 7th Edition
The organisers of the Ghana Music Awards UK have announced the full list of nominees for the 7th edition on Friday, August 4, 2023.
After their maiden event in 2016, the Ghana Music Awards UK is now in its seventh year. Even though the awards ceremony takes place in London, it often kick off in Ghana to build anticipation and interest from Ghanaians.
The list was released by the organisers on August 4, 2023, with the event scheduled for October 7, 2023, at the Royal Regency in London. The purpose of the award programme is to honour and celebrate the achievements of Ghanaian musicians throughout the year.
The Ghana Music Awards UK opened submissions for artistes, producers, and other members of the music industry to submit their work for consideration in the forthcoming seventh edition on April 12, 2023, and ended on May 30.
Last year, Hip-hop musician Black Sherif swept the night’s prizes, taking home a total of five awards (including Musician of the Year). Akwaboah, a highlife singer and songwriter, got three awards, Eugy and Headie One won two awards each.
Meanwhile, hip-hop legend Reggie Rockstone was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award, and TiC and Zoro King received special recognition awards.
